Mesa Verde Association

The Mesa Verde Association (MVA) is a non-profit partner of Mesa Verde National Park (MEVE). Throughout the Association’s history, employees and volunteers have enthusiastically collaborated with the National Park Service (NPS) and MEVE on a wide variety of programs and projects such as interpretation, research activities, and visitor services.

Our mission is to be the innovative educational partner of MEVE that inspires life-long stewardship of the Mesa Verde region’s cultural and natural heritage.

Mesa Verde National Park

For over 700 years, the Ancestral Pueblo people built thriving communities on the mesas and in the cliffs of Mesa Verde. Today, the park protects the rich cultural heritage of 27 Pueblos and Tribes and offers visitors a spectacular window into the past. This World Heritage Site and International Dark Sky Park is home to over a thousand species, including several that live nowhere else on earth.
